The International Billfish Tournament Puerto Rico, held November 17-21, 2026 at Club Nautico de San Juan, targets marlin and sailfish in Caribbean waters under IGFA rules with a 100,000+ dollar purse. This tournament operates 30-pound line divisions for both sonar and non-sonar boats, welcomes outboard vessels, and features optional calcuttas. As the longest consecutively running big game fishing tournament in the world, it pioneered tag-and-release format in 1987, decades before U.S. regulations made the practice mandatory.
